Diego Simeone is confident Atletico Madrid's Antoine Griezmann will be able to cope with some close attention on Tuesday night.

The Spanish club meet Leicester City in the Champions League quarter-final second leg with a 1-0 lead from last week's initial bout in Madrid.

In a bid to beat last season's European runners-up, the Foxes could deploy some man-marking tactics on Griezmann but manage Simeone says the France international has what it takes to beat a close-checking opponent.

"It has never happened where we have faced an opponent who has given him special treatment and been man-marked," he said.

"If it did, I am sure the type of footballer he is and the ability he has, he would find a way to resolve that situation and find a solution.

"He would find space for himself in open play or from free-kicks where defenders have to get back a certain distance."
