Simao delighted with brace in Atletico Madrid victory

Atletico Madrid midfielder Simao was delighted with his brace in Sunday's amazing 6-3 triumph over Almeria.

The Portugal international said: "It is always important to score, to come out and play well. But for me, it is more important to create than to score. We always train hard and we prepared well for this game, so we were very happy with the outcome.

"I am also happy, I scored two goals and we won, that is the important thing."

Asked about the booing of Atletico teammates Jose Reyes and Cleber Santana, Simao added: "They are in a difficult moment. When I heard the boos for Cleber during my substitution, I felt a little sad. He is my companion and my friend and is member of a group that wants to do the best thing for the club."
