Silvestre shocked by actions of ex-Man Utd pal Evra: But he will play on...

Former Manchester United defender Mikael Silvestre believes Patrice Evra's career isn't over.

Evra has been suspended by Olympique Marseille after attacking one of their own fans before the Europa League tie with VitoriaGuimaraes.

The ex-United captain is expected to be sacked by OM, but Silvestre believes his former teammate will play on.

He told RMC: "It was shocking from Patrice. When you know his character, very peaceful, he is not that kind of person.

"A long suspension from UEFA and OM will be imposed. He will not escape, but I do not think this is the end of his playing career.

"For Marseille and from the point of view of the supporters and the owner, it is difficult to see him continue there, maybe one in a hundred.

"He will probably move on."
