Former Palermo defender Matias Silvestre is excited about his move to Inter Milan.

The 27-year-old was presented to the media on Wednesday and he's looking forward to the challenge of stepping in for Lucio following his switch to Juventus.

"Taking the place of Lucio is an important responsibility, but I am ready despite the competition for places," said Silvestre.

"I have joined Inter at the right stage of my career and I have the desire to do well. I want to show what I can do so I can win the faith of everyone here."
