Matias Silvestre was delighted to start for AC Milan in victory over Udinese.
The 29-year-old defender was given this chance with Philippe Mexes suspended, Daniele Bonera and Mattia De Sciglio injured.
"I am very happy for my debut, but above all for the team's victory. I've very happy with this result," he told Sky Sport Italia of the 1-0 win.
"Tonight we showed great character and this is the path we need to continue on. I had been out for a while and I have to thank the medical staff for helping me to recover so quickly. Perhaps because of that, I was a little more cautious than I usually am."
