David Silva says he's committed to Manchester City.

Silva has been linked with Real Madrid and Barcelona in recent days.

"City were the team that were most willing to take a gamble on me. I don't think they were the only team to offer a lot for me but I am happy they did," Silva told Cadena Ser.

"Barcelona and Real Madrid are great teams but I'm very happy here and would like to be here for many years here. My family is like me, happy. People have treated me very well, I am very quiet and I live in a quiet area.

"I thought it would be harder to settle but I have made it easier and I am very happy. The atmosphere suits me, the competitiveness and tranquillity of every day is essential."
