David Silva is on the brink of penning a new deal with Manchester City. The Daily Mail says City are on the verge of agreeing a new £200,000-a-week contract with Silva.
The club have been negotiating with Silva all summer as they look to tie one of Europe's hottest properties to a deal for the next five years.
It is understood the arrival of Spanish chief executive Ferran Soriano has given the issue fresh impetus and the club are hopeful of agreeing terms within two weeks.
