David Silva is out of Spain's friendly with Chile on Tuesday because of a minor injury.
The 27-year old playmaker has been ruled out his country's meeting with the South Americans in Geneva which puts him in doubt for Manchester City's Premier League clash with Stoke City on Saturday.
"After the issues reported by the player David Jimenez Silva after this afternoon's training session, a scan took place and a light muscle injury was detected. For precaution and to avoid complications with this injury, Silva left the training camp," read a statement from the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF).
"National coach Vicente del Bosque has decided not to call up anyone else to cover the absence."
