Silva: Man City will have to fight for every win

Manchester City star David Silva believes he and his teammates will have to continue scrapping and fighting for every single point they can until the end of the season.

Manchester City star David Silva believes he and his teammates will have to continue scrapping and fighting for every single point they can until the end of the season.

The 2012 Premier League champions find themselves six points behind league leaders Chelsea but have three games in hand as they look to make it two titles in three seasons.

Last weekend, Chelsea were beaten by Aston Villa which provided a wake-up call for Silva as City now know they will have to fight hard for every victory if they want to be successful in clinching the premiership this campaign.

"In this league every game is difficult and it's important to keep your focus,” Silva said ahead of Saturday’s home meeting with Fulham.

"It happened to them (Chelsea) and it has happened to us – every game is difficult and anyone can beat anyone.

"This is why you have to fight all the way to the end in every single match."
