Silva determined to stay with Man City

Manchester City playmaker David Silva is adamant that he wants to remain with the club at least until his contract expires.

The Spain international's brilliantly consistent performances since settling at City after his arrival from Valencia in the summer of 2010 has seen the Eastlands club become a Premieriership favourites and he is not about to depart the club in the middle of what could be a massively successful era.

"I was very happy at Valencia, but because of some circumstances I had to leave," he told Onda Cero. "City were the ones that wanted me the most.

"I am very happy in England, I have two years left on my contract and I want to see it out.

"Right now, I do not want to return [to Spain], I am enjoying life in England, people treat me wonderfully and I want to continue enjoying this.

"Mancini has complete trust in me, which is very important for a player and I am very happy. My team-mates are adapting well to my game and that is very good for me."
