David Silva has returned to training with Manchester City after being cleared of a fractured cheekbone.
The Spanish playmaker suffered a heavy knock as a result of an errant elbow from West Ham United's Cheikhou Kouyate in City's 2-0 win on the weekend which forced him off the Etihad Stadium pitch on a stretcher.
It was feared that Silva had suffered a fracture in his cheekbone but scans revealed no serious damage and he was subsequently given the all-clear to get back to training.
Silva was believed to be in good spirits on Tuesday and is now in contention for Saturday evening's visit of Aston Villa.
