Gylfi Sigurdsson has implored his Tottenham teammates to look past the weekend's defeat at Liverpool ahead of their Europa League duties later this week.

Spurs had a 12-match unbeaten run ended at Anfield when they lost 3-2 to the Reds in the Premier League on Sunday but a three-goal advantage for the second leg of the Europa League Round of 16 at Inter Milan now awaits.

"It was disappointing but all we can do now is focus on the next game at Inter and make sure we go through," he told the club's official website.

"We've been on an unbelievable run and sometimes things like this happen. We have to make sure we stay together, regroup and get ready for the next game.

"Hopefully we can go on another run between now and the end of the season. We deserved more than we got at Anfield, so that shows how good the team is. We've now got to go on another run."
