Gylfi Sigurdsson admits Tottenham's reputation for exciting football influenced his decision to move to London.

The former Swansea City and Reading ace made the switch from Hoffenheim.

He said: “Everyone knows about how well Spurs play their football and that was always one of the main attractions for me. And the fact that I’ve already experienced something of that approach at Swansea will hopefully make the transition easier because I know Tottenham’s style will suit me.

“Obviously, there have been a lot of changes here and that means I am not the only player getting used to things. But I look around here and can’t believe the quality I’m now part of. When we click we can be exceptional and that’s an exciting prospect.”
