Sigurdsson eager to have Gomis back with Swansea soon

Gylfi Sigurdsson is hopeful that Bafetimbi Gomis can make a quick recovery from his fainting episode on Wednesday.

The Swansea City striker collapsed early in his side's 3-2 loss to Tottenham at White Hart Lane but is ok after receiving treatment from the medical staff.

Gomis has suffered from a vasovagal condition throughout his career and is expected to make a full recovery much to the delight of teammate Sigurdsson.

"I asked the doctor and he said he was OK and hopefully would recover. Hopefully he will be back with us soon," said the Iceland international.

"It's never nice to see someone go down like that. We have a good medical team and they came on to the pitch very quickly.

"It will be really nice to have him back, he's an important player for us."
