Sigurdsson admits Rodgers presence decided Swansea move for him

Gylfi Sigurdsson admits he wouldn't be at Swansea City without manager Brendan Rodgers.

Sigurdsson was on Reading's books for two years before he joined Hoffenheim and was their player of the season in 2009/10 - spending half the season playing under Brendan Rodgers - scoring 20 goals in 44 games before a £6m offer was too good to turn down.

And he was player of the season again for Hoffenheim with 9 goals in 29 games before spending most of this season on the bench.

He said: "Brendan was a factor in me coming here, he didn't need to convince me. I told him straight away that I wanted to come and join."
