Siena star Mattia Destro says he's staying grounded over talk of a place in Italy's Euros squad.

Destro is yet to win a cap for the Azzurri but there is a clamour for Italy coach Cesare Prandelli to hand him a chance.

"I've always said that the Azzurri jersey is a dream, but I have to remain with my feet on the ground," he said.

"For now all I am thinking about is ending the season well with Siena and working hard for the Italian Under-21 side which is certainly an important stage for me."
