Siena sports chief Manuel Gerolin says the return of Mario Beretta was the best option available for the club.

At yesterday's presentation, Gerolin said of coach Beretta: "The decision to re-sign Beretta was taken yesterday in Rome after a club meeting.

"We're sure it is the best choice, as well as inevitable, given the results. Beretta has the advantage of knowing the team and the environment."
