Steve Sidwell hopes for more signings after Aston Villa's capture of former Leeds United winger Fabian Delph.

"The gaffer has said before that he wants to get players in,'' Sidwell said.

"Going into every game with the same players has been hard.

"For what we want to achieve this season, going in with this squad, I would not say it will be impossible but it will be very, very difficult.

"I am sure they (the management) are working as hard as they can in the background to get players in to improve the squad. Hopefully they can."
