Steve Sidwell is convinced Stoke City can challenge for Europe next season.
Last season's ninth-placed finish was Stoke's highest since 1975, but Sidwell is sure they have not peaked yet.
He said: "The calibre of players that this football club's got is good enough to push to new levels and obviously this club is always looking to make that next step.
"It's all geared up to keep going in the right direction and hopefully when pre-season starts we can gel nice and quick and pick up where we left off.
"It's one of the big things I noticed, especially in the last year, how Stoke became more expansive, obviously with Mark Hughes being in charge.
"The facilities here are second-to-none, it's a great place to come into work every day, the pitch has always been immaculate and we've got the right manager, in my eyes, to oversee it all."
