Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo is suffering from a lack of SELF CONFIDENCE when it comes to playing Barcelona, it is claimed. Top Spanish football shrink Oliver Martinez says Ronaldo is suffering in games against Barca due to a lack of self-belief - particularly when compared with Lionel Messi.

"The rivalry with Messi has helped both players take their game to another level," said Martinez, "but in direct duels the Argentine has demonstrated a superior ability and self-confidence that makes him play more relaxed and therefore with more control of the situation."

Martinez also told Sport: "Cristiano is struggling because he feels the need to prove himself in these situations, instead of playing naturally."
