Newcastle United are interested in QPR star Charlie Austin but doubts linger due to the striker's persistent shoulder problems.
Doubts over a long-standing shoulder injury mean the Magpies are only prepared to pay £12million but QPR are hoping to recoup £15m reports the Daily Mail.
Austin failed a medical at Hull City back in 2013 which is believed to have occurred due to his shoulder issues.
The 25-year-old also then damaged the bone and cartilage in his shoulder during the next season for QPR which has alerted Magpies boss Steve McClaren.
