Shotton pondering Stoke departure despite keenness to stay put

Stoke City defender Ryan Shotton says he may be forced to leave Stoke City if he is not given more game time.

The 22-year old, who came off the bench to score the only goal in Sunday's 1-0 result at West Bromwich Albion, is keen to remain at the Britannia Stadium but has revealed there is interest for loan deals and he says he might find himself elsewhere if manager Tony Pulis doesn't have plans to play him regularly.

"I'm here, playing for Stoke, that's all I keep telling people. If I'm playing, I'm happy," he said.

"That's all I want to do, play football. If it is not at Stoke the next couple of months, then maybe I do have to go out on loan.

"People have told me bids have been put in for me but at the moment we haven't spoken about anything so we will see what happens.

"It's my local club, I've been here since I was nine, 10 years old so who would want to leave?"
