Steven Robb has become the latest player to sign a new deal to remain at St Mirren. The midfielder has a penned a short-term contract which keeps him at the Paisley club until January 1, 2011.

St Mirren boss Danny Lennon told the club's official website: "Steven Robb is no doubt the type of player we want at the football club, but the biggest thing for him is that he has got to be on the park playing.

"The short-term deal safeguards us in a way if he is affected by injury problems again, but the most important thing for him is that it gives him that platform to build on and something to aim for.

"I think with the short-term contract this will certainly make Steven Robb more positive and mentally stronger."
