Sunderland's next manager is set to be granted a massive £200 MILLION transfer budget.
The Sunday Express says Texan millionaire Ellis Short will complete his buy-out of relegation-threatened Sunderland this week and promise the club's new manager up to £200million to spend on transfers.
Short has made it clear he wants a high-profile boss to lead the club into a new cash-backed era. Former Spurs boss Martin Jol, remains a target as does ex-England head coach Steve McClaren, who has seen his career revitalised in Holland with FC Twente.
Confirmation of the buy-out and the bold plans are due to be announced. Even if Sunderland fall into the Championship it won't affect Short's ambitions.
