Hamburg boss Martin Jol is in the frame for the Sunderland job.
The Daily Star Sunday says Sunderland majority shareholder Ellis Short wants a big-name continental manager appointed in the summer - and it's almost certain Jol will be a target.
Interestingly, Sunderland chief Chris Woerts, a Dutchman like Jol, is now drawing up a shortlist of potential candidates.
