Shorey: West Brom hitting form in time for Wolves derby

Nicky Shorey believes West Bromwich Albion are finding their form at just the right time as the Black Country derby with Wolves looms large. Albion go into their next match on Sunday 16th October two points shy of opponents Wolves who have lost their last four games, with left-back Shorey positive the Baggies are finding their form.

"I think it was one of our best performances of late," he told the club's official website.

"We passed the ball really well and caused them a lot of problems, to be honest, especially in the first half. And in the second we were quite comfortable.

"It felt more like us. It felt more like the way we normally play with the way we were knocking the ball about.

"We see all the time in training that the lads have quality on the ball and we showed that at Sunderland, which bodes well for the future.

"I played against Wolves last year and it's a big game for everyone concerned.

"Like always, we really want to win the game.

"It's a tough division, it's the best league in the world and it's exciting, so it's hard to keep clean sheets and play well.

"But that's what our ultimate goal is."
