Shorey determined to return to West Brom's left-back role

Nicky Shorey says he is determined to get his left-back role at West Bromwich Albion back.

The former England international has lost his spot in the Baggies first team to summer signing Billy Jones but is desperate to return to Roy Hodgson's line-up as soon as possible.

"Whether I thought it was the right decision or not, it's got a couple of good results and hopefully I will get another chance. Billy has been working hard in training and deserved a chance," he told Express & Star.

"It's always disappointing for me when I see a right-footed player in my position at left-back. It doesn't sit well with me but he's done well."
