Danny Shittu is ready to quit Bolton Wanderers.

The Daily Mail says Shittu is ready to leave Bolton after admitting he wished he had never joined the club.

The centre back moved from Watford for £2million in August but has been frozen out, starting just five League games in six months.

The final straw was producing a man-of-the-match performance when given a rare start against Arsenal on January 10 but then being dropped. Birmingham and Derby have enquired about Shittu and Sunderland are also interested.
