Danny Shittu wants his Bolton future resolved before the World Cup finals. Shittu has a year left on his current deal but he failed to feature under Owen Coyle this term and now he is keen to secure a move away from the Reebok Stadium.

The 29 year old, who is set to go to the World Cup with Nigeria, admits he wants his future sorting before he departs for South Africa.

"I have to resolve my future very soon," he told skysports.com.

"I am discussing with my advisers, we will see in the next three weeks. I want to be clear in my head before the world Cup.

"I still have one year left on my contract here in Bolton, so we never know, I might stay here, but let's wait and see.

"All parties involved will meet and I will take a decision that is good for my career."
