Manchester United signing Shinji Kagawa has turned down the chance to take the prized No7 shirt.

Kagawa completed his move to United on Friday after a successful medical.

Greeted by reporters and fans at Tokyo's Narita Airport, Kagawa held an impromptu press conference, confirming that he'd turned down the chance to take the coveted No7 shirt.

"I want to make a name for myself [at United] on my own terms," he said.
