England legend Peter Shilton has dismissed criticism of the nation's keepers by Real Madrid star Iker Casillas.
Spain and Real Madrid number one Casillas has pin-pointed England's goalkeeping situation as "a real problem", identifying the fact neither James, Green or Hart have big-game experience as the chink in the nation's armour.
But Shilton, who enjoyed 20 years at international level, puts an element of Casillas' opinions down to gamesmanship.
"I think you're going to get psychological things from other goalkeepers, other countries," he said.
"David James has got 50 caps for England, he's played in World Cups, so he's our most experienced.
"I suppose he's got a point in that Robert Green and Joe Hart haven't. But Rob has played quite a few England games now, in the last 18 months he's played more than anyone else. He's got a fair bit of international experience.
"The more experience you get as a goalkeeper the better it is, but I think he's at a point now where he's got enough experience to play in a World Cup, definitely."
