Ukraine coach Andriy Shevchenko senses a new calm around former club AC Milan.
Shevchenko has been impressed by the work of Milan owners Elliott Management.
“There's great serenity now with the arrival of a new owner," Shevchenko told Sky Italia.
“The management has changed, Paolo Maldini and Leonardo have arrived. I can see a through line with their work, a direction in which they're aiming."
On Sunday's derby with Inter Milan, he continued: “Milan have a lot of players without much experience, and now they're training alongside someone (Gonzalo Higuain) who played at Real Madrid, Juventus, and Napoli.
“He's a serious lad who can give a lot to the group and help the other players in the squad grow.
“As for (Mauro) Icardi, he's improved a lot and he's a fully-formed player, a leader of this Inter.
“He showed that in the two recent Champions League matches: when the team was struggling he managed to find the goals to win the games."
