Chelsea's injury woes continued last night after their Carling Cup victory over Liverpool.

Goal scorer Andriy Shevchenko left the field with a swollen ankle and coach Avram Grant also revealed a setback for winger Florent Malouda.

Malouda was pencilled in for the game against Liverpool but could be out for a few more weeks as he bids to recover from a persistent knee problem.
