Tim Sherwood is waiting in the wings to succeed Harry Redknapp at QPR.
The Daily Star says former Tottenham manager Sherwood is ready to replace Redknapp.
It is understood a defeat at home to Manchester United today will spell the end of Redknapp's two-and-a-half year reign at Loftus Road.
Sherwood's assistants at Spurs, Les Ferdinand and Chris Ramsey, are already at Loftus Road.
And it is said to have been an open secret since the start of the season that if Redknapp fails the ex-England midfielder will come in.
QPR owner Tony Fernandes is thought to be willing to hand Redknapp a job upstairs with the Premier League strugglers.
