Sherwood: Too many Spurs capitulations under Villas-Boas

Tottenham boss Tim Sherwood admits he's demanding greater character from his players after their comeback win over Southampton.

A brace from Christian Eriksen and a last-minute winner from Gylfi Sigurdsson overhauled the deficit. And Eriksen later revealed the team had been buoyed by an inspiring half-time speech from the manager, who was delighted with the response.

"A win like that is great for morale," Sherwood told talkSPORT. "The players look at each other and know they've all got that 'never say die' spirit.

"But I can't accept the capitulations. When Andre was manager there were too many capitulations and I've had a few, and I can't accept that.

"I want everyone to give everything all the time, I want 100 per cent effort, and I want them to make sure they can't move when they walk of the pitch at the end of the game."
