Aston Villa manager Tim Sherwood has distanced himself from the ongoing rumours regarding the sale of the club by American owner Randy Lerner.

According to reports, the West Midlands club's current owner Lerner has three offers on the table but Sherwood says it's none of his business despite wagering that an deal will not be done prior to this summer.

"I don't take no notice of it. It's none of my business. It's not my football club to sell," he said.

"I like a punt, so I bet you (we don't have new owners by the start of next season). By the time we're in here pre-season, I'll bet you £100."
