Tim Sherwood is expected to be granted a promotion at Tottenham next season.

The London Evening Standard says had Harry Redknapp taken over as national coach, it is understood that the club were keen to promote Tim Sherwood from his role as technical co-ordinator to a more senior position.

The hierarchy have been impressed with Sherwood's work with the club's development sides and are keen, eventually, to move him closer to the first-team picture, possibly as a link between the training ground and boardroom.
