Tottenham boss Tim Sherwood insists there's been no clashes with his players after last week's defeat at Liverpool.
Tottenham fans on Twitter went into meltdown last weekend when it was suggested the boss had even punched one of his players after the drubbing at Anfield - a story that was simply untrue.
Sherwood said: "It was incredible the way that it gathered so much pace.
"I haven't got a problem with the players and they know I want the best for the club.
"And that helps them out because it means I want the best for them, but I am not going to suffer fools. That is the way I manage.
"I don't have any hidden agendas. I just felt the players needed to be accountable.
"Criticising them was something I did on impulse and I thought it was the right thing to do at the time.
"Now it is only correct if you do that if you win - like loads of decisions you make as a manager. It only works if you win. Otherwise it doesn't."
