Aston Villa manager Tim Sherwood says he cannot waste time thinking about whether or not the club will be sold.
The West Midlands outfit are being linked with a consortium led by former Arsenal captain Tony Adams and ex-Chelsea director Paul Smith with a potential takeover of Randy Lerner's current ownership on the cards.
Regarding that scenario, Sherwood admits there is no point pondering whether or not his job would be in danger as he has no control on anything bar putting his eleven players out on the pitch each week.
"New owners would make their own decisions," Sherwood said. "Perhaps they might not like a British manager.
"Not a lot of owners do. I don't worry, I just get on with what I can do. I can only my best for the football club.
"I know Tony but only through playing. He's a good guy and I have a lot of respect for him. But it's out of my hands.
"If something happens it's up to the someone who comes in to decide whether they want Tim Sherwood as their manager."
