Tim Sherwood could jump before he's pushed at Tottenham.
The Mirror says he has no intention of enduring the embarrassment of being a lame-duck manager between now and the end of the season on May 11 and is ready to walk away.
Sherwood - well aware that he had lost the faith of the club and that fans want him out - confided his views to friends, who in turn leaked them.
When Tottenham did nothing to counter the speculation publicly on Monday afternoon - club sources simply insisted they will review the position at the end of the season - Sherwood finally established where he stood.
Neither he nor his assistants, Les Ferdinand and Chris Ramsey, have been officially spoken to by the club. Chairman Daniel Levy is currently in America.
