Tim Sherwood is being linked with Harry Redknapp's job at QPR.
The Daily Star says Redknapp's future remains in doubt weeks after he claimed a contract extension had been drawn up and would be signed within days.
New Rs football chief Les Ferdinand is close to disgruntled QPR chairman Tony Fernandes, and was spotted deep in conversation with him during Sunday's defeat at West Ham.
Ferdinand is also good friends with Sherwood, who is among those under consideration for the top job if Redknapp is sacked.
