Tottenham boss Tim Sherwood says expectations are greater at White Hart Lane than what Brendan Rodgers has experienced with Liverpool.
Spurs meet Liverpool this weekend.
Sherwood said: "The expectancy here will be far higher because we've touched the Champions League in recent season and the Europa League constantly.
'The expectations of the fans, the directors, the board, the chairman, is that we need to be there every year, whereas Liverpool hadn't been on the radar for a while regarding the Champions League.
"Why should Tottenham fans be patient when you're spending £110million? They're going to expect instant success and why shouldn't they?"
