Manchester United hero Teddy Sheringham doesn't believe their spending this summer is over.

Sheringham was impressed by Sir Alex Ferguson's move within weeks of the end of last season when three high ­profile recruits - Phil Jones, Ashley Young and David de Gea - were quickly brought to Old Trafford.

Sheringham explained to the Sunday Mirror: "Sir Alex obviously knew who he wanted and the business was done within, what, three weeks. You have to admire that. It is great planning.

"And there is another side to getting the deals done early.

"They were able to travel with the rest of the squad in pre-season and get to know not only the players, but also what life is all about being a United player. Now they are bedded in.

"And I don't think United are necessarily finished yet. Wesley Sneijder would be a great signing, in my opinion."
