Manchester United legend Teddy Sheringham feels the powers of Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs are now waning.
Sheringham, who retired at 42, admits that in the latter stages of his career he struggled to maintain high performance levels over a full campaign.
He said: "Looking back at my career I realised that in the last three or four years I started the campaign very, very well but I couldn't sustain it over a whole season and it petered away long before we even reached March. You only realise after you have retired how much you struggled."
