Shenzhen Ruby remain on top of Chinese Super League table

Shenzhen Ruby remained on top of the Chinese Super League despite a scare against Changchun Yatai on the weekend.

The Phoenix found themselves behind after just two minutes at the Shenzhen Stadium when Wang Dong netted for Changchun but bounced back to grab all three points through Li Fei and Vyacheslav Hleb who scored either side of half-time to maintain their unbeaten record in four matches so far this season.

Elsewhere in the CSL, Lioaning Hongyun and Qingdao Jonoon had a 3-3 draw as Brazilian striker Felipe Tigrao scored twice for Lioaning.

Shanghai Shenhua moved to third with a solid 2-0 away win over Tianjin Teda, Chongqing Lifan won 2-0 at home over Changsha Ginde thanks to a Huang Xiyang double, Nanchang Bayi came from a goal down to beat Hangzhou Lucheng 3-2, a late Han Peng brace could not guide Shandong Luneng to victory as they drew 2-2 with Dalian Shide, Beijing Guoan stayed in second with a narrow 1-0 win over Shaanxi Chanba at home and Jiangsu Shuntian and Henan Jianye played out a scoreless draw.
