Jonjo Shelvey is eager to show Liverpool fans what he can do tonight against Europa League opponents Utrecht.
The 18-year-old is hoping to show a packed Anfield - and those watching on TV - why Liverpool worked so hard to sign him this summer and why from the very start of his football career he has been touted as 'the next Steven Gerrard'.
"It's a big game for us young lads," Shelvey told Liverpoolfc.tv. "It's another chance to leave an impression on the boss's mind. Hopefully I'll get a start and I can show him what I can do again.
"It's on telly and you want to go out there and show people what you're capable of and why a club has bought you."
