Sheffield Wednesday waiting for Fulham, Wigan offers for Brunt

Sheffield Wednesday insist no offers have arrived for winger Chris Brunt.

Wigan Athletic and Fulham are ready to bid £2 million for the free-scoring midfielder.

"We've seen reports of clubs interested but have yet to receive any bids," a club spokesman told BBC Sport. "Our manager Brian Laws is set to offer Chris a new contract."

The spokesman added: "Chris would like to move to the Premiership but also stated his desire to lead Wednesday into the top flight.

"He has a year left on his current deal and we are aiming to keep him here for longer which is our aim with all our best players."
