Sheffield Wednesday have completed the permanent signing of on-loan Stoke defender Lewis Buxton for a nominal fee.
The 25-year-old, whose contract at the Britannia Stadium was due to expire in the summer, has signed a contract until 2011 and will be available for the Championship clash at Nottingham Forest on Tuesday.
Manager Brian Laws said: "Lewis showed a tremendous attitude and really impressed me during his loan spell, on and off the pitch.
"He's a versatile player, he slotted into a number of positions very well and has earned the chance to come here on a full transfer. Lewis is an excellent addition to our squad."
