Sheffield Wednesday have snapped up Norwich City defender Michael Turner.

Turner joins the Owls on a season-long deal.

Wednesday boss Carlos Carvalhal said: "Turner is here because he can give energy, he has a strong personality, he likes to win and has experience.

"We need these types of players here and he will help us this season. He knows the Championship and he is very welcome here.

"I am happy with the players we have, I have confidence in them and believe we can give Middlesbrough a good match on Saturday."
