Sheffield Wednesday are chasing Wigan Athletic striker Connor Sammon.
The Mirror says Sammon is wanted on loan by Dave Jones' promotion-seeking Sheffield Wednesday.
Sammon has lost his place in Roberto Martinez's side but had been a regular for much of the season.
Now the Owls are keen to recruit the former Kilmarnock hot-shot, 25, for the rest of the League One campaign as they look to clinch a top-two finish.
